A New Beginning is the first episode of Season 1 of the Glee: A New Beginning spin-off, Glee: A New Beginning: The College Experience. The series will follow the graduates as they leave McKinley, taking place at New York, New Haven and Las Vegas. It aired on May 26 and it was written by ArpickJP.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Penny, Jade, Dj and Rachel at their new apartment. Penny, I'm really happy that you moved in with us. Rachel, I'm happy too. Now that Kurt went to Paris with Blaine and Santana is in her honeymoon with Brittany and Finn decided to go back to the army, which doesn't make me happy by the way, I'm all alone. Jade, We'll full that empty space. Dj, Yeah! I can be your new Kurt. Rachel, Actually, you remember me of him. Dj, Obvious reasons? Rachel, Yeah. Jade sighs as Rachel asks, What's wrong? Jade, I'm wondering what is Charlie doing now. Dj, I think the same about James. Penny, It happens the same with me and Mark. Rachel, Don't worry guys. If there's something I learned here, is that being at least a little bit distant from the ones you love, is really helpful. Jade, I hope you're right. Rachel, So, how was your first week at NYADA? Dj, I've liked it.Penny, So have I. But this week was just an introducing week. We'll get the chance to have real classes until this week. Rachel, You'll like more NYADA once you have classes. And once you have my class, you'll never want to leave. Jade, You're a 101 singing teacher, right? Rachel, Yeah. Dj, Is it true that the 101 Dance class teacher is a bitch? Rachel, She is, but just with the ones she hates or the ones she thinks have the potential to be a star. Dj, That means she's going to be a pain on our neck. Rachel, So humble and modest! Dj, That's my style. Rachel and Penny laugh as Jade says, I hope this year to be a really good year. And I hope to see Charlie soon. Penny, You will. But not now. Now, you just have to enjoy the city! Jade, Yeah! The scene ends as Penny and Jade get by a window and they take a look to the city.

Meanwhile, Caro and Luke were already at Yale. They were in their room. Caro, I'm really tired! Luke, I told you not to join the cheerleaders. Their name is the Tornados! That's insane! Caro, I love cheerleading. I couldn't miss this opportunity. Luke, As long as it doesn't interfers with your normal classes, it's ok. Caro, You're acting like my dad. Luke, I'm not. I just care about you because I love you. And I want you to be the best of the best. even if that means that I have to stay behing in the line of successful people. Caro, You don't have to do that. We can both be the best of the best. Luke kisses Caro. Right in the middle of the kiss Caro's cellphone rings. Caro, Wait a minute. Luke, Sure. Caro yells as she picks the call, You! Charlotte was the one calling. She was in Las Vegas. Charlotte, Me! Caro, How are you? Actually, where are you? Charlotte, I'm in Las Vegas, baby! Caro, I'm so happy you didn't get nuts and went to Juilliard to scare Chuck. You're in college, and that's the best you can do. Charlotte, Whoo said I was in college? Caro, Excuse me? Charlotte, I'm at Las Vegas, but just for fun! I had a free ticket, so I wouldn't waste it! Caro, Charlotte, are you drunk? Charlotte, Mmm... no! Haha! Caro, You're drunk. That's your drunk laugh. Charlotte, I drank a little bit, but I'm ok! Caro, What are you doing? Charlotte, I just came out of a casino. And I think I lost my money! Charlotte laughs as Caro asks, What?! Charlotte, There's a hot guy across the street! I have to get his number! Talk to you later! Caro, Charlotte, wait! Charlotte ends the call. Luke, Was it Charlotte? Caro, Yes. Luke, Was she drunk? Caro, More than that. She was lost. Luke, Lost in Las Vegas? That's big! Caro, What are we going to do? Luke, We can't do anything, we're not children anymore. We have to know the consequences of our actions. Luke leaves the bedroom. Caro sits on the bed and sighs as the scene ends.
The next day Jade, Penny and Dj were at they 101 dance class. Cassandra, My name is Cassandra July. Cassie for the ones I like. You're my 19 freshmen students... Penny, Nineteen? Where's the other guy? Jade, Yeah, we were supposed to be 20. Cassandra gets by Jade and Penny as she says, I don't like guys who likes to talk back, or interrupt my class. Penny, We're sorry. Cassandra, You're here because you're the best of the best. Your first week here will definitely be one of the hardest weeks of your life. At much, the half of you will pass this week. Once, just one girl was able to survive this week. She's now in the hall of fame of NYADA students and on Carmen's elite. Dj, Woah! Gunner, You get impressed very easy, don't you? Dj, I'm just amazed by all the talent from here. Gunner, I'm Gunner Iver. Dj, David Pierce. But my friends call me Dj. Gunner, Nice to meet you. Dj, Nice to meet you too. Cassandra, Now go to the bar! We're going to start with baby steps. The music starts as the kids get on the bar and Cassandra starts singing.

The song ends with Charlie at McKinley's cafeteria serving food. Meanwhile at NYADA, the kids were going back to the bar as one of the girls faints. Penny, Oh my God! Gunner, Is she ok? Two of the boys carry her and take her to the nurse. Cassandra, One down, eighteen are left. Class's dismissed! Cassandra walks out of the classroom as Jade, Penny, Dj and Gunner were staring at each other really shocked.
Later that day, at Juilliard, Chuck was really worried talking by the phone with Caro. Chuck, But is she going to be ok? Caro, The nurse said she was ok. She just hit her head against the pavement really hard. Chuck, How did the nurse got your number? Caro, Charlotte called me yesterday, maybe I was the last one she called. Chuck, This is not how I thought we were going to start a new year. Caro, I'm disappointed too. But more than that, I'm worried. Chuck, How is she going to survive four years of college? Caro, You should call her. Chuck, Maybe. Luke, Give me the phone! Chuck, Is that Luke? Caro, Yes, he wants to say hi. Chuck, Give him the phone. Caro, Sure! Luke takes the phone as he shouts, How are you, bro?! Chuck, Hey bro! I'm upset right now. Luke, I know! Your girlfriend went nuts! Caro, Luke! Luke, I'm sorry. Chuck, It's ok. Do you mind if I talk to you later? I need to talk with Charlotte. Luke, It's ok, bro. Good luck. Chuck, Thanks. Chuck ends the call as he sighs. He dials Charlotte's number and press the call button as he sighs again.
Meanwhile, Teddy and Mark were fixing their bedroom. Teddy, It is a total mess! Mark, I know! Yesterday's party was CRAZY! Teddy, When are we going to throw another party like that one. Mark,Never again. Now we have to focus on our studies. Teddy, Not even you can swallow that. Mark, Seriously bro. We can't spend our time in parties when we have a lot to study and work on. Teddy, Stuff got real. Mark, We came here to study, not to play. Teddy, You're acting too bossy. I'm not liking you. Mark, You're acting like a child! Teddy, Maybe I'm still a child! Mark, So, you're not gay?Teddy, What? Mark, You and Abi... Teddy, Why did you come up with that? Mark, I don't know it just came to my mind. Teddy sighs as he says, I don't know. For a long time I made myself and the rest of the people believe I was bi. But last year I thought I was gay because I had no feelings toward girls. But Abi made me feel different. Maybe I'm straight. Mark, You're not straight, at all. Teddy, Who knows? Mark, You love Dj. And it doesn't matter how many girls you kiss, you'll always love him. Teddy, You're right. You're always right. That's why you're my buddy and my roomie! Mark,We're going to live here for four years or more, I'm not sure. We just have to learn to get used to each other. Teddy, You're so right, dude! Teddy hugs Mark as Mark says, Now, help me with cleaning the room. Teddy, Sure! I'll go out and look for a vacuum! Mark, Great! Teddy gets out of the room as Mark stays there cleaning it. Once Teddy was out he says, I'll be back in a couple of hours. The scene ends as Teddy runs through the hallway.
The next shot shows Charlotte getting out of a hospital at Las Vegas. She was talking with Chuck by the phone. Charlotte, I'm really sorry, Chuck. I don't know what I was thinking or doing. Chuck, Let's forget about it. All that matters now is that you're ok. Charlotte, Yeah. Chuck, Promise me that you're going to college right now. Charlotte, I promise it. Chuck, Do you have money? Charlotte, Yes. I hid it in my bra while I was drunk. Chuck, Good. I have to class right now. Charlotte, Ok. Chuck, I'll call you later, if not tomorrow. College is making me really busy. Charlotte, It's ok, I understand. Chuck, Send me a message when get to college. Charlotte, I will. Chuck, Bye. Charlotte, I love you. Chuck sighs as he says again, Bye. Charlotte hangs her phone really disappointed. As she was about to puther cellphone in her bag she receives a message. It was from Jade and it said, Hey, I heard about your little accident. I also heard you were already ok. Dj, penny and I wish you well and we hope you to be ok. We love you. Charlotte smiles as she answers the message saying, Thanks, I love you too guys. I'm ok. I just have to get used to the changes of the wind. The music starts as Charlotte press the send button.

As the song continues, it shows Luke at Yale's Auditorium. He was watching a performance by Yale's Glee Club. He had a sad yet happy exprssion in his face as he was watching and singing.

The song continues with Teddy at a party. He was sitting on a couch as he was drinking a beer.

The song ends as it simultaneosly shows the four guys: Charlotte getting down a bus. She takes a look to the building in front of her. It was the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. Charlotte sighs as she walks in. Luke leaves the Adutorium in the middle of the Glee Club performance. As he was going to walk out the door, he looks back and smiles after sighing. Teddy throwing the beer to a trashcan as he leaves the party with the guy that was sitting next to him and then Caro taking her bag as she leaves the Tornados' rehearsal.
The next day Jade, Dj, Penny and Gunner where at NYADA's round room. Carmen was in the center of the room introducing herself to the freshmen. Carmen, You all now who I am. And I know who you all are. Unfortunately you're just 18 now because of the girl who left. Jade raises her hand as she asks, Weren't we supposed to be 20 freshmen? Carmen, Yes, but the acceptance letter to one of our students messed up and we have to fix that, so don't worry, you'll soon be 19 again. Jade, Great. Carmen, So, you'll be able to perform just two important solos this year. One will be today, your introduction and the other one, if you're lucky enough to go, will be in the Winter Showcase. Dj, The Winter Showcase? Gunner, It is like the best event of the season. Just the ten best students at NYADA can participate. And it is very weird when a freshman has the chance to participate. Carmen, Now, let's start. The first one that is going to perform is Mr. Gunner Iver.' Gunner smiles as he says, Sure. Gunner gets on the center of the Round Room as he introduces himself, My name is Gunner Iver and I will be singing one of my favorite songs ever: Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley. The band starts playing the song as Dj looks at Gunner and says, Good luck. Gunner smiles to him as he starts singing.

As he passes by Penny she says to him, That was wonderful. Gunner, Thank you. Can't wait to see your performance. Carmen, The next one performing is going to be David Pierce. Gunner, 'Good luck. Dj, Thanks. Jade, Go Dj! Dj gets on the center of the Round Room as he introduces himself, My name is David Dj Pierce and I will be singing Summmertime Sadness by Lana del Rey. Both Jade and Penny get shocked. Jade raises her hand as she says, Excuse me, but I was going to sing that song too. Penny also raises her hand as she says, I was also wanting to sing that song. Gunner, Why don't you make it a triple feature? Penny, What's that? Carmen, Here at NYADA we call a triple feature to a song that is performed by three different persons at different moments. First will go David, then Penny and the last one will be Jade. Are you ok with it, or would you like to change your song? Dj, We're ok that. Penny, Are we? Dj, Yes. Hit it!

Later Jade and Gunner were walking by the hallways as they ran into Rachel. Gunner, Oh my God! You're Ms. Rachel Berry, right? Rachel, Yes. Nice to meet you. Gunner, Oh my God! I'm your fan! Jade, It seems like my cousin is famous now. Gunner, Your cousin? Jade, Yeah. She has been my cousin since I was born. Gunner, Woah! Rachel, Thank you... Gunner, Gunner! Gunner Iver. Rachel, Well, thank you Gunner. Jade, We have to run to our acting class. Rachel, Oh, it's ok. We'll see at the 101 vocals class. Jade, And in our apartment. Gunner, You live with her? Jade, Yeah. Meanwhile at Yale, Caro and Luke were going walking out of a classroom. They were walking by the hallways as a boy stops them. Skylar, Wait a second! Luke, Are you talking with us? Skylar, Yes. My name is Skylar Daniel DeMarko. But you can call me Sky. Caro, Hey Sky! Skylar, Hey Caro. Luke, How did you know her name? Skylar, I also know yours, Luke. Luke, Creepy. Skylar, I'm a freshman here too.Caro, Oh. Skylar, Yeah. And I got invited to the Yale's Glee Club. And I was wondering if you would like to join too. Caro, Why do you think we would like to join a Glee Club? Skylar, You were part of the most successful Glee Club of the decade, the New Directions. And a couple of days ago I was watching a Glee Club performance and Luke was there. Luke, You're a stalker, aren't you? Skylar, No. I just want two of the most talented people in Yale to join us. Caro, Two of the most talented?Skylar, If not, the most talented. Luke, I'm flattered. Skylar, Freshmen should stick together. Caro,You're right, but I can't. I'm a cheerleader and I have classes. Or at least if my roommate wasn't a math addicted freak and he didn't spend fifteen hours of his day at the library! As Chuck stops complaining his phone starts ringing. Chuck, Great! Now how am I supposed to answer that? Oh, it is in my pocket. Chuck takes out his phone amd picks the call. Chuck, Chuckster here! Charlie, Chuckster? Chuck, Oh my God! Charlie! Charlie, What's up, kisser buddy? Chuck, College is a living hell without you. I can't live without you or the rest of the guys. Charlie, I would love to say the same. Chuck, I'm sorry about your new job. It may suck to work at the school cafeteria. Charlie, Actually, I have two jobs now. Chuck, Are you insane bro? Charlie, No, I'm actually I'm happy. I'm working at the cafeteria and as the co-co-director of the Glee Club. Chuck, That sounds so bor... what?! Seriously?! Charlie, Yeah, I just got it. You're the first one to know about it. The next day Jade, Dj , Penny and Rachel were having breakfast. While they were eating they hear that someone was knocking the door. Dj, Our first visitor! Rachel, Who do you think it is? Jade, I'll go. Jade stands up and then walks to the door. Before Jade opens the door, Gunner says from the outside, It's ok, it's not the police or a thief. Jade opens the door as she asks, Why would a thief knock the door? Gunner, Good point. Jade, Come in. Gunner, Thanks. They walk to the kitchen/dinning room. Gunner notices Rachel was eating. You seem disconnected from reality. Luke, Yeah. I have a lot to think of. Skylar, This is just our second week. Without counting that last week we pretty much just came to see each others faces. Skylar, It was pretty much what I got stuck in my head on my first week here. Luke, You know, there's a part of me that really misses music and wnats me to join the Glee Club. Meanwhile, at NYADA, Jade was talking by the phone with Charlie. Jade, I'm really happy for your two jobs! I can't believe you're co-co-directing th New Directions! By the way, tell them we say hi.Charlie, I will. So, how's everything going? Jade, I don't want to talk about that. I feel like I would be like rubbing it on your face. Charlie, You're not. At least if you're not intentionally doing it. Jade, I'm not doing it. Charlie, Great. Now tell me. Jade, Well, we've been doing great. Rachel moved in with us. Charlie, Yeah, you told me about it. Jade, I've been doind great with my classes. I had a triple feature with Penny and Dj at our first presentation and there's this guy... Charlie, A new love interest? Because that wouldn't make me angry. Jade, It's not a new love interest and why wouldn't that make you angry? Charlie, When I asked you, actually, when I let you go, I knew the consequences it brought. Jade, You're making me sad. Charlie, Tell me more about the guy. Where's Penny? Dj, She's already there. Gunner, Has she always been addicted to dance class? Jade, Actually, we've never had dance class before. Gunner, Oh. Dj, Let's go. Cassandra will eat us if we get there late. Gunner, Right. Jade takes Dj hand as they walk to the dance classroom.
Meanwhile, at the NYU, Mark was really worried in his room waiting for Teddy. As he starts walking all around their bedroom the door suddenly opens. It was Teddy a drunk Teddy who was on his knees trying to walk inside their bedroom. Mark, Oh my God! Mark goes to help Teddy as he asks, What the hell is wrong with you?! You didn't come to sleep! Teddy, I had a WILD night! Woo! Mark throws Teddy to the floor as he says, I can't! Teddy, Ouch! What?! Mark, Who are you? Who the hell are you? When we first came here I was excited because I was going to share a bedroom with one of my brothers. But now all I see here is a horny and drunk guy lying on the floor like a slob, or you're looking even worse than that! Teddy, Sue me! Mark, I won't sue you. But I won't be your roommate anymore! Mark leaves the room really angry letting Teddy lying on the floor. Teddy, Screw you! The scene ends as Teddy starts crying.
Back at NYADA, Carmen was in her office. She was checking some papers. She smiles as she takes the phone and dials a a phone number. She waits until someone on the other side of the phone picks the call. Carmen, Hello. My name is Carmen Tibideaux and I'm NYADA's dean. I would love to talk to your son. She waits a while until she says, Hi! It's me, Carmen Tibideaux. First of all I would like to poplogize for the misunderstood, but you were suppopsed to get accepted here, at NYADA. Actually, we wanted to promote you to second year. She stay in silence as the person on the other side of the phone answers. Carmen, It was not a mistake. And we would love to see you hear as soon as you can. Bye, bye. Carmen smiles as she hangs the phone and the scene ends.
Later, Jade, Penny, Dj and Gunner were at Rachel’s 101 vocals class. Rachel, Well, as some may know, this is my first year teaching here after Funny Girl went to a one year break. You may also know that I love dynamic classes. So, as this week's assignment I want you to show me your vocals through a song that expresses what are you passing through right now.
